About Us

The Valsa da Cotovia Association is an organization dedicated to the development and promotion of projects in the fields of art, crafts, and technology support for artists. It was founded in 2019 from the need to create a space where tradition and innovation could coexist and complement each other, offering craftsmen and artists a platform to develop their skills, expand their knowledge, and reach new audiences.

Mission and Vision

The mission of Valsa da Cotovia is to value art and crafts as cultural and artistic expressions while incorporating modern technologies to improve and publicize the work of artists. The association’s vision is to become a national and international reference point for integrating crafts, art, and technology, promoting sustainability, innovation, and the preservation of cultural heritage.

Projects

Valsa da Cotovia develops various projects focused on crafts and art, with the aim of preserving traditional techniques and encouraging the creation of new forms of expression. Among the projects, the following stand out:


Training Workshops:

Courses and workshops that cover traditional craft techniques (like weaving, ceramics, woodworking, and embroidery), as well as contemporary art techniques (such as painting, sculpture, and installation). These workshops are taught by master craftsmen and renowned artists and are open to everyone, from beginners to experienced professionals./p>

Fairs and Exhibitions:

Organization of events that allow craftsmen and artists to display and sell their creations, while also offering a space for cultural exchange between participants and the public.
